I got into marathons and my first Boston marathon for family. My cousin Marc was in the attack on Boston in 2013. In his honor, and for his running teams I then ran in 2014' , 2015', and for The ReMARCable foundation in 2024. I am happy to say this year i will be running again for my cousin and his running team The REMARCABLE Foundation. I believe hard work and dedication gets people through many finish lines in life and I also believe that is what will get our team through 26.2 and the finish line of the Boston marathon this April 21st 2025.

I'm an American Sign Language Interpreter but currently a stay at home mom to 2 boys. I have been running since 1997 and I'm fortunate to have a long history with the Boston Marathon and to have been able to experience it with the people who mean the most to me. In 2010, my husband and I got engaged in Hopkinton before running the race together, in 2019, I ran 26 weeks pregnant with my first son, and in 2022, I ran 15 weeks pregnant with my second son. After running the marathon in 2013, I've always tried to find ways to honor and support marathon bombing victims and survivors and when I saw Marc was putting together a team, I jumped at the chance to be part of The ReMARCable Foundation's first team in 2024. I am excited to be doing it again April 21st, 2025.
I am a registered nurse from the North Shore. I have always played sports but I picked up long distance running about 12 years ago. I started out with 5k’s, 10k’s and have ran many half marathons. For my first full marathon, I ran NYC in 2022. I then completed Chicago in 2023. I feel so honored to have been chosen to run for The reMARCab

I am eager to educate my friends and family about the positive impact this foundation provides. Since I started running, it has been my absolute dream to run Boston. I can’t wait to cross that finish line with my team on April 21, 2025.
My first memory of the Boston Marathon is of watching my grandfather cross the finish line. I remember watching in awe as the crowds cheered on those completing the race. In all the times I watched, I never dreamed I would join those crossing the start in Hopkinton.

I came into running later in life. It helped me remember that when life gets hard, I can do hard things. I am excited to help Team reMARCable reach their goal, because everyone deserves the chance to cross the finish line.
Born and raised on the North Shore, I grew up cheering on Boston Marathon runners at the finish line and always dreamt of crossing that finish line myself. I 've run numerous 5k's with a 10k and a half-marathon mixed in, but now I'm thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to run the Marathon in support of Marc and The ReM.A.R.C.able

I 've run numerous 5k's with a 10k and a half-marathon mixed in, but now I'm thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to run the Marathon in support of Marc and The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation. Marc's mission hits close to home for me, as my late best friend bravely battled Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy his entire life. Now, I'm looking to help make a difference in the mobility impaired community. I look forward to supporting my teammates and finishing my first Marathon on 4/21/2025.
I was born with at the time a very rare birth defect. I was missing bones in my right foot and leg. When I was one years old they amputated my foot so I could be fitted with a prosthetic. When I was 7 it became clear my right leg was not growing as fast as my left and we did a lengthing surgery. This lead to 100 more surgeries and procedures. When I was 10 my knee collapsed and we decided to amputate above my knee. Besides a scar revision I have been surgery free since that final amputation on my leg. I live a very active life working as a medical biller and at a distillery as a tasting room hostess. I have found healing through athletic endeavors. Be it mountain climbing, CrossFit, or skiing. Since working with a nonprofit photographing their marathon team I have wanted to handcycle marathons. But have had no access to the equipment I needed. Through the help of the ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation I now have my own handcycle and will be able to take my training to the next level and participate in the NYC Marathon this November and hopefully many more races in the future. I am beyond thankful for this assistance and making this long term goal come try!

The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation was founded by Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor Marc Fucarile in 2023. Since 2013 Marc has been volunteering his time and efforts to helping, as well as fundraising for many different nonprofit organizations he believed in. Marc made the commitment in 2023 to move forth with giving back through his own 501c3 nonprofit organization, therefor creating The Re M.A.R.C. able Foundation. This will allow him to give back resources, equipment, and financial support to the mobility impaired community and caretakers.
Our Missionis to offer assistance, organize events, and compile helpful information for individuals facing mobility challenges and their caretakers. Together, we strive to make a positive impact and give back to those in need.
