Our Story
Strangers showed up for Marc. Now we show up for others.
On April 15, 2013, Marc Fucarile lost his right leg above the knee in the Boston Marathon bombing. His left leg was badly damaged too. He spent more than three years in and out of hospitals.
Through all of it, people across the country (many of them complete strangers) lifted up Marc and his family. He promised to pay that kindness forward. In 2023, he founded The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation to give back directly, and with more impact, to the mobility-impaired and disability communities.

We champion accessibility and inclusion for individuals with disabilities and the caregivers who stand by them, and we back the organizations doing that work every day.
Adaptive Equipment
Handcycles, mono skis, and everyday gear like the Wheelbag. It’s equipment insurance won’t cover, and it opens up sport, independence, and life.
Financial Assistance
Direct support for individuals, families, and caregivers facing the cost of care, home modifications, and the gaps other programs leave behind.
Community & Partners
Grants, sponsorships, and hands-on guidance for the nonprofits and disability-owned businesses serving people with mobility challenges.

A handcycle for LJ
After 100+ surgeries and an above-knee amputation, LJ finally has her own handcycle and her sights set on the NYC Marathon.

An adjustable mono ski for Granite State Adaptive’s program at King Pine, built to serve many athletes for years to come.
Disability-Owned Business
Wheelbags, given free
We bought Wheelbags in bulk from EnableGear, a company founded by a wheelchair user, and gave them away at Abilities Expos.

Run Boston for Team ReM.A.R.C.able
Our official charity team runs the Boston Marathon every April. Our 2026 runners raised $88,232, and every mile funds equipment and support for people with mobility challenges.
